With a passion for military uniforms stemming from her father who served in the British Army, Pinky has long romanticised about a man in uniform.

Now living in Munich but born in London her passion for creating the ultimate Napoleonic inspired military uniform has been an interesting journey. From customising outfits for friends attending parties and festivals in both Europe and the USA, the dream to design her own clothing was always present.

The opportunity to design the go-to military jacket arrived in 2006 after attending Burning Man Festival in Nevada. It was a life changing moment for Pinky, where she met a host of like-minded, inspiring, free spirited and fashion-forward people. Returning to the UK Pinky set to work designing and carefully sourcing the fabrics from UK suppliers for an expertly tailored  - but never stiff - British made military jacket that has attracted both women and men who want to stand out from the crowd.

The Pinky Laing brand has always been about high quality fabrics and trimmings that are always sourced from the United Kingdom. It is a truly British brand. The brushed cottons and velvets come from a family owned fabric supplier and weaver in Scotland that has been in production since mid 19th century. Jackets are finished with authentic braiding dating from the 1940's and '50's from a supplier who found boxes of it lying on dusty shelves in a warehouse haberdashery off Bethnal Green Road over 30 years ago.

Each piece is individually numbered and made by our team of professional tailors in East London.

All jackets have secret pockets, detachable epaulettes and are made to love life more.
